Occupation Before DJing: Ceramaspeed - Manager, stores and PC Data clerk.
First Gig: Market Tavern, Kidderminster @ 18yrs old! Got paid £25!
Memorable Gig: Trade ....playing for 12 hours from 3:30am - 3:30pm in 1995 (whitsun week).
Worst Gig: Adelaide, "There was a mix up and I got sent to the wrong club. It was a lovely place but the guys were in suits and ties and the women had handbags. I was playing hard house and they were thinking 'where's the Kylie?' The police came near the end and took three people away and everyone just left."
Favorite Club: "There isn't a club I've ever been to that compares to Trade."
DJ Trademark: "I've got a bag of records only for Trade; on the main circuit I play on a harder tip. I'm up-front, play things before the others and matching the music is a big thing for me."

A site dedicated to some of the best days of my life...so far!

TDV (Tony de Vit) was the guy i will always remember as a great DJ, knowledgeable producer and close friend!

Tony was always passionate about his DJ set, spending hours getting it tight & musically correct.

He was always one of a few DJ's who flipped a record over, and even sometimes preferred the other side to what was recommended to him!

He would also be fresh with the tracks he chose for compilations making it big for a lot of otherwise unknown artists. Even turning down compilation mixes if he was told what to play.

Simon Parkes had his first break back in 1990 when he did his first remix for PWL (Pete Waterman) produced within a bedroom setup which just missed the UK top 40 at No. 44. In 1991, he teamed up with the then unknown, Tony de Vit where he co-produced the many now known TDV tracks, including the 1995 UK chart Hit 'Burning Up' which went in at number 24!

Not losing the passion for music, Simon, from his new location within Mid-Wales, still writes and produces, including expanding Frozen UK into a great dance music collective for all other passionate musicians, DJ's & producers to come together and rebuild the dance industry!
